Hair Witch’s History

Hair Witch was created in 2017 by MD Hunter. MD is drag performer named Athena Sinclair, and one of his goals for his career was to teach himself how to be self sufficient in his art craft. After teaching himself to sew, do makeup and create his own costumes, his next step was wigs. He dreaded it so much but after some time he realized he had a talent for hair. He kept practicing and working doing wigs for queens around the country as “Wigs by Sinclair.”

One day he was at Miss Gay America dressing a good friend and had the opportunity to do wigs for half the contestants for the pageant that year. His friend, who later went on to win MGA a few years later, jokingly call Athena a witch with wigs and from that moment Hair Witch was created.

We have now gotten the opportunity to do wigs for people all around the world and on some of the biggest stages in the world. From the Masked Singer to Rupauls Drag Race, you can catch our work on so many amazing platforms and performers. We are so thankful for all our customers continued support after all these years.
